{"id":556,"date":"2022-07-18T19:11:32","date_gmt":"2022-07-18T19:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/texaswic.net\/?p=556"},"modified":"2022-07-18T19:11:58","modified_gmt":"2022-07-18T19:11:58","slug":"expanded-wic-fruit-vegetable-benefits-extended-thru-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/texaswic.net\/?p=556","title":{"rendered":"Expanded WIC Fruit, Vegetable Benefits Extended Thru September"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Texas WIC has extended it\u2019s expanded fruit and vegetable benefits thru the end of September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Texas WIC the new benefits offer the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Children get <strong>$24 <\/strong>each month&nbsp;<\/li><li>Pregnant, postpartum and some breastfeeding clients get <strong>$43<\/strong> each month&nbsp;<\/li><li>Fully and partially breastfeeding clients get <strong>$47 <\/strong>each month.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if you are pregnant and have two children (ages 1-5) receiving WIC, you will get <strong>$91<\/strong> ($43 mom + $24 child + $24 child = $91) each month in April, May and June to buy fruit and vegetables,<a href=\"https:\/\/texaswic.org\/about-wic\/special-wic-food-updates\"><strong> according to WIC.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WIC clients should contact a local WIC office if they have questions about these benefits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The expanded WIC produce benefits are expected to return to $11 for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women and $9 for children Oct. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WIC clients can get all their WIC groceries in one easy stop at any Primarily WIC grocery store location in Texas.
